The CSULB Fine Arts Round Table (FARt) begins this academic year with a group exhibition featuring work by graduate students throughout the greater Los Angeles area. This diverse community includes artists from 10 schools: California Institute of the Arts, Claremont Graduate University, CSU Northridge, Otis College of Art and Design, UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Barbara. GLAMFA 2011 will occupy five CSULB art department galleries and two project spaces with more than 60 works in a diverse range of mediums. Now in its seventh year, GLAMFA has become a tradition for MFAs, encouraging dialogue amongst an emerging generation of LA artists and its public.

Announcing the 2011 MFA exhibition featuring thirteen graduating candidates of UC San Diego’s acclaimed Masters of Fine Arts program in the Visual Arts. The exhibition, organized by the University Art Gallery and co-curated by Lara Bullock, Rujeko Hockley, and Drew Snyder, showcases an extraordinary group of artists and peers who have worked in close proximity to one another over the last three years. The work on display shows the diversity of practice in the UCSD Visual Arts department, ranging in medium from sculpture and installation, to photography, drawing and painting, video, and performance.
